Is one Step an upgrade from KnFB Reader or is it a separate purchase?

What used to be KNFB reader: I couldn’t directly delete some files from it,
but discovered that after reading they were in the Apple files app. Once
deleted from there and from the deleted file folder, they were then gone
from OneStep Reader. I wasn’t aware that those apps became connected, as I
never had to go through this procedure before. I use other apps more than
this one, but occasionally have to as it may be the only thing in the share
option that I can access if be my eyes or Ira can’t extract. Just thought
some of you might want to know if you ran across not being able to directly
delete from one step reader.
