Hello Heather, When you are on the Recent call list, look for the "Edit" button at the top right of the screen. Double tap on it and you will then find a "Clear" button at the top left. Double tap on it and Voiceover will ask "Clear all Recents?" Double tap to confirm and your call log will be empty.
I still don't undersand why Apple doesn't give the call log a bit more functionality considering how advanced the iPhone is. You can filter only between "All" and "Missed" and you can only either completely clear your call log or delete individual calls. Even on my old Windows 6.1 Smartphone 4 years ago I was able to filter by "Incoming", "Outgoing" and "Missed" and if I selected, for example, "Outgoing" and then cleared the call log only the calls that were currently displayed were deleted. This allowed me to keep a history of all incoming calls only or missed calls only. I'd love to see this on the iPhone or maybe a feature which would allow one to mark particular calls so they are not deleted because maybe I want to keep the number in the call log for a while.
