Jonathan,  Your response touches on the basic issue for trying to answer such a question. One's invoicing system is a function of their accounting system. I assumed the poster was inquiring about billing for personal time. This sort of thing would not require a complicated accounting system nor the features provided by something like QuickBooks. I believe Blind people are using QuickBooks comes to mind, but I’ve never tested it personally.
