Hi, I’m not sure if the issue I’m about to describe is the same thing but just in case it might help I mention it.
I can’t say for sure but sadly there is a new thing that might be in play. Now, if there’s a notification it acts like a persistent banner and it will often manifest by making it seem like you’re stuck on the status line and nothing else will be visible. And the VoiceOver hint for getting rid of it says swipe down with 2 fingers which doesn’t work. If you can locate it often near the center of the bottom of the screen swipe down with 1 finger and hit dismiss and the regular screen should return. I’ve been reporting this for 8 weeks via telephone and on X to no avail. Maybe if someone joins my reporting party someone will address this.
