Sure, you can press command-option-s to bring up the sidebar on the Mac. I'd 
try control-option-s in windows. I went to books in the sidebar, pressed the 
list radio button, and had a books table, too.

I wouldn't mind the new interface so much if it was more navigable with 
shortcut keys. I don't usually like to poke around spatially very much.

seen it.  in my music library, which is huge, i can switch to the songs view 
and then turn on the column browser, but i'm stuck with three different 
interacting keystrokes to get at any individual track in a book.  that bugs me.
