So when you see that notification and you tap it it the code then inserted or is that simply what it says only a notification?

Tony, what you describe would be the notification banner which appears just below the status bar when a notification comes in for which banners are enabled. The ability to auto fill a verification code has been around in iOS for quite a few years and there is even a setting in Settings > Apps > passwords at the very bottom which says "View auto fill settings" and if you double tap on that, you will find a heading a bit down the screen called "Verification codes" and if you swipe right, you hear "Delete after use" and this can be on or off. If you turn it on, then theoretically the message with the verification code is supposed to be automatically deleted after you tap on that notification just above the keyboard although I have noticed this does not always work.

Sieghar,

what I knew [which I wrote on here a few months back] was that justa very little way down from ttop of phone when I know that a code has been sent I tap there but earlier on a site wanting a code I didn't see that unless it was just me but next time I will indeed follow those steps as such tips can save a lot of bother believe me.

Thanks,

Tony

Tony, if you are on a website where a verification is required and it is sent by text or email, did you know that you can check and automatically enter this code without ever leaving the website? Here is what you do:
Make sure you are in the edit field where the code needs to be entered.
Once you hear the notification that the text message or email is received, check just above the keyboard on the left side,s ort of above where the Q and W is. You should see a notification/item there which you can double tap on and this will automatically enter the cvode into your verification box.

    Hi folk,

a tip which I use when say in a website and I need to go to Mwessages to check a code or suchlike is to ask Siri to do that.

It's saves me a lot of favffingtg around with the four-finger swipe and so on.

The Siri way for apps that work with it is really great indeed and it's such a pity Siri can't do more for us especially in this age of AI.

Tonyyou may not haveMoving quickly between apps
