Richard, I do use the unified layout as I like having my Favourites across the top followed by my recent calls. However, I don’t understand some of what you apparently see, if I tap on Filter, I get the following: Classic Selected, Unified Selected, Calls Missed Voice Mail Manage Filtering In other words, if you use the Unified layout, you can either select “Calls” which are all calls including incoming, incoming missed calls and outgoing calls. If I select Missed, all I see are missed calls and of course missed calls are all incoming. There is no way to see only incoming calls or only ouotgoing calls. When I tap on the “Manage Filtering” option, I got a message which said I could move any uniknown calls to a separate list or something to that effect to filter unknown callers into their own list. With the Unified layout, there is no longer a favorites tab, just recents, context, keypad, and search.
