I personally never use the Item chooser and have reassigned its default gesture to instead open all VoiceOver settings. Here is what the Perplexity app says about the Item chooser for those who are interested:

The item chooser in iOS is an accessibility feature, specifically part of VoiceOver, that provides a searchable list of all accessible elements currently visible on the screen[2][3][7].

### How Item Chooser Works

- By triple-tapping with two fingers while VoiceOver is enabled, a list appears showing all accessible items on the screen, such as buttons, text fields, links, headings, and other elements[2][7].
- This list is presented alphabetically, and includes a search field to quickly filter and find specific items, very similar to how contacts are displayed in the Contacts app[2].
- Selecting an item from this list moves VoiceOver’s focus directly to it on the screen, making navigation faster, especially on complicated or crowded screens[7][8].

### Use Cases and Benefits

- The item chooser is extremely helpful for users when navigating web pages or apps with many elements.
- It enables finding and jumping to specific controls or text entries without having to swipe step-by-step through every possible element[8].

### How to Open Item Chooser

- Gesture: Triple-tap with two fingers anywhere on the screen while VoiceOver is running[2][5][7].
- Shortcut: On Mac, the equivalent is VO-I (VoiceOver modifier and I key), but on iOS, use the two-finger triple-tap [5][7].

This feature streamlines navigation and improves accessibility for those relying on VoiceOver on iOS devices[2][3][7].

I’ve accidentally activated the item Chooser a few times lately.  That has gotten me wondering if anyone here uses this in a regular basis and has some good use cases for it.  I’d love to know the advantage of it.
