Hello,
I don't have a braille display and since using the IBM PC (1985) it's
was easier to use the voice synthesizer.
For decades, my only brailling has been making Dymo labels using a one
line slate. This allowed for using contractions not on the labeler.
Many years ago I received the BANA's UEB Sampler One (2001). Inside is
an insert:
UEB symbols used frequently
Now I've got something to practice my braille reading with.
The many symbols given will help me make better use of Braille Screen
input.
The typing of text is straightforward and spell checking seems to work.
Editing is problematic...
a trial and error method will have to be my approach.
Without documentation, There's frequent switching between braille entry
and command modes.
First navigating requires change of the rotor items to lines, words and
characters. Second, in Braille Entry my edit of adding or deleting is
turning out to be inconsistent.
Thanks for getting me back to using braille, be it only writing.
Peter T.
