He did say something about reasons not to update iOS 26.1. I am just wondering I have an iPhone SE three and I also have an iPhone SE too, but either one of those phones be too old to take the update or if they did take the update they would not work out very well? I am just wondering about that. I’ve been hanging out on iOS 18 latest version of it. And please be honest with me if it is good to update and it will work out OK that’s great but if I shouldn’t, please be sure to tell me that if I shouldn’t. I wanna know the truth behind it all.

Hey Mark, I haven’t had any issues with that update. I just updated yesterday or no. I updated the day before yesterday. I haven’t had any issues except the fact that my phone is overheating faster which alarms me when I’m out and about. I’m thinking it might be the battery pack I have it’s a really slim battery pack. It’s 5000 mA per hour or whatever that MAH stands for but it’s not enough to charge my phone fully so I’m in the market of looking for one and I did find one that’s quite interesting. It actually is 11,000 mA MAH whatever on Amazon, but it also has a cooling fan that make sure while it’s charging and that it stays cooler or the right temperature instead of overheating and it’s MagSafe for my iPhone 14 I just thought it was really interesting to note that particular problem for me, but I don’t think it’s a serious bug or anything. It’s just maybe something to do with the battery pack. I’m currently using it was an offbrand from the Envision team. They call it the ally battery pack anyway I got it for free because of some award I want I don’t know anyway all that being said I’m in the market of buying a better one than what I have. I don’t see any issues other than the fact I’ve noticed that with iOS 26.1 when I try to insert an emoticon like the smiley face it actually writes out the word smiley face instead of the symbol for the smiley face, which is usually the: the – and the) Together, so it looks like this: :-) Instead of spelled out like smiley face it would say smiley usually and that’s what usually happens when you actually insert manually if you remember the sequence of punctuation to make that emoticon that’s the only thing I’m seeing that is kind of annoying, but I could live with it for a while :-)

Hello All,

First, with regard to that spam thread, I have banned the spammer and locked and subsequently deleted the thread.

Second, to those who have updated to iOS 26.1, any problems? or reasons not to update?

Thank you,

Moderator Mark
