Hello,

Matthew, you filled in the missing gap.

When the Rotor is on “misspelled word”, the dots 1 and 4 are switched to navigating the substitution list. No need to keep switching to Braille Entry to single flick up through the substitution list and then a single finger flick right to do the replacement.

And then have to go back to Command Mode to select the next misspelled word.

While in Command Mode, what is still useful is a single finger flick up to cycle through the 3 item vertical list, to highlight “words. “Characters” or “lines” can also be chosen.

Then, a single finger flick horizontally, to move through every word in the sentence.

This is useful to remember the overall sentence. Misspelled words are announced.

Then use dots 1 or 4 to find a substitution for the misspelled word.

Dots 3 with 4 to select.

Thanks again,

Peter T.

Hi Peter,

That hint is not taking account of the fact that you are in command mode.

Since you are in command mode, I suspect you need to use the usual command mode gestures for swipe right/left/up/down and double tap, which are as follows:

  * Swipe right: tap dot 4
  * Swipe left: tap dot 1
  * Swipe up: tap dot 3
  * Swipe down: tap dot 6
  * Double tap: tap dots 36

So:

  * Tap dot 6 or dot 3 to move to the next/prior misspelled word
  * Tap dot 4 or dot 1 to move to the next/prior spelling suggestion
  * Tap dots 36 to insert the suggested word

Let us know how you get on and hope this helps,

Matthew

Hello,

Without documentation, I’ve been able to get spellchecking to work but am I doing it right?

If I relate my steps, maybe someone can make suggestions.

In Command Mode, when the rotor is changed to “misspelled words”, I hear:

Swipe left or right to choose a replacement

   Then double tap to insert

Swipe left or right to choose a replacement then double tap to insert

This doesn’t work for me and I assume this is a single finger swipe.

Swiping to the right sometimes gives nothing and sometimes only letters.

Swiping up and down cycles through:

   Characters, words and lines

Can I use the Command Mode to go through the suggestions and replace misspelled words?

I have to use Braille Entry to replace the misspelled word.

With the misspelled word highlighted, a single finger swipe up cycles through a suggestion list.
A single finger swipe to the right replaces the misspelled word.

I then repeat the process by going back to the Command Mode to get the next misspelled word and back to Braille Entry to get the substitution list.

Is there another way?

Peter T.
