And after noticing again that it says in the subject this concerns a Beats Pill Bluetooth speaker, I wanted to add that it might be different as Beats is an Apple brand and therefore the “Device Type” option may indeed not be there. I don’t own one so I can’t confirm, but certainly if I check the More Info for my Airpods, there are all sorts of advanced options, but no “Device Type” option. did want to add that it could be different in that case.

In here you can change the device type from say speaker to headphones. This alteration of the device type will determine whether VoiceOver comes through your iPhone or speaker.
