I also have three HomePod Mini. From time to time I notice strange behavior,
especially after a major firmware update or after a power failure or internet
interuption. What I usually do is a factory reset then pairing them fresh to
home kit. It is a simple process and does not take that long. I also at times
hear them talking without me giving any orders. In that case I just unplug
them, carefully wipe the top with a napkin and plug them back again.

Has anyone had any strange happenings with HomePod Mini? I’ve had 3 of them
for several years. Recently they have been really misbehaving.

When I ask Siri to play a radio station or music from Spotify, it will often
tell me it can’t find it on my iPhone. When Siri does play the music, it often
stoped, and would sometimes resume, and sometimes not. The last few days they
has started playing randomly, on their own. I finally had to unplug them
because they would play for awhile, then stop for awhile, then play again, then
stop again, etc.

I also have a small Google speaker, which works just fine, That indicates to me
that the problem is not with my internet or wifi. I don’t like the quality of
the sound as well as the HomePod Minis.

I spent almost 2 hours on the phone this morning with Apple. The tech ran some
diagnostics and updates, and was unable to resolve the problem. She said there
have been some reported problems, and that she was sending the information to
the Engineering Department, and would get back to me. Since we’re into the
holidays, I know it may be awhile before they are able to get back to me. So,
I just thought I’d check to see if any of you have had a similar problem.
