Hi Vicki. I use your second method which is easy and works, as you said, as
long as I remember to turn the new alarm on. Thanks for the information.

God bless!

Subject: Re: setting an alternative alarm sound

If per chance Siri is being used to set the alarm, even if one has set their
own default alarm sound, at least in my case, the alarm sound always goes back
to a much softer sounding alarm when Siri is used. I found two ways to get
around this. First, one can use Siri to set the alarm, after which they can
then go into the clock/alarm settings and change the sound for that alarm to
what they want and save the changes. Or second, the way I now prefer to do it,
I set the alarm the way I like it and save the changes, then every time I want
to set a new alarm/change the time for the alarm to go off, rather than
creating a new alarm, I ask Siri to change my alarm, saying something like
change my 8:30 PM alarm to 7:30 AM. One does, as I've learned, after changing
the alarm, then need to double check to make sure the alarm is turned on, as I
occasionally forget to ask Siri if I have any alarms so it will then tell me if
any alarms are turned on and then wonder why it doesn't go off later. I do have
an electric alarm clock as a back up, though, so it isn't a problem for me.

Assuming you are using the Clock app for your alarm, once I select a sound,
whether it be a song, a ringtone, or alert tone, and save that alarm, the next

I am not sure why yours is not doing that.

Hi all. I can’t seem to get this right, so I’m coming back to you again. I
want to use a song in my library for my wake up sound for all alarms. When I
tried setting the alarm sound it worked one time for my 7 AM alarm, but when I
set an alarm for a different day to sound at 8 AM it was the same annoying
default sound. Is there a way I can get my chosen song to sound for all my
alarms. Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense.

God bless!
