You need to make sure text selection is among your rotor items. After you dictate the word you can go back and read it by character, word, line or whatever increment you want by twisting the rotor to that option. When you get to the area of text you wish to edit you can do several things. You can select a word and delete it, move your insertion point to a specific area of the text, then either dictate or type the word you wish to add. You can select text, copy cut and paste text, just like you can do on a computer.
If you’ve never done these things before you might want to check out the Hadley series on using the iPhone with voice over. I can write out a step-by-step if you like but I don’t have time to do it now as I’m getting ready for work. I know I’m a number of days behind on these messages.
