I have had that problem too. The best thing I know is to just try to hold it by the edges, and once answered, press Power Button to turn off screen. If you need to get back in and want the dial on the screen:
Flick up to App Switcher. Double tap on phone call. The key pad will appear on the screen again. HTH.
