Hi,

This sounds like a nuisance change I have encountered with IOS 26 and using an external bluetooth keyboard. The "single letter navigation" (VO+Q) feature of QuickNav is no longer automatically turned off/on  when you go into and leave edit mode on a text field.

I use this feature all the time when working with any formatted document or email or web page. Like the "find" (VO+F) and "repeat find" (VO+G) keyboard commands, it is invaluable when reading.

Now, I must remember to turn Single Letter Navigation off manually when editing or anything I type in the edit field is treated as a SLN command rather than accepted as text to be entered. I have reported this to Apple but I doubt they will change it back unless lots of us keyboard users complain.

If you use Single Letter Navigation, this might be your problem.

Sounds like you have Quick Nav on. Press the left and right arrow keys to turn off Quick Nav mode.

For some reason I cannot type in edit fields with my bt keyboard. for example, if I type the letter t it announces "table not available" instead of announcing the letter t⋅ I am currently brailing this on my Brailliant BI 40x.
