Debbie,

Are you talking about the silent mode in Settings, Sounds and Haptics, where it
says if you turn on Silent Mode, the phone will not play ringtones, alerts, or
system sounds, but will play alarms, timers, music and audio from videos?

Or, are you talking about using the action button/silent/ringtone lever on
older phones?

Subject: Addition to Solved Voice Over Volume Spiking with External Bluetooth
Speaker

Hi All

Just a slight addition to my post: to avoid the bug, make sure to keep the
phone on silent mode. For some reason when I turned my phone off of silent
mode, the bug returned.

Debbie

Hi All

Last week I mentioned a Voice Over bug with the volume randomly spiking when
using voice over to enter and edit text while the iPhone is connected to an
external Bluetooth speaker such as the Beats Pill with Voice Over running
through the iPhone’s internal speaker. I’ve now resolved it.

I went into my audio settings and switched the iPhone’s input from Automatic to
iPhone Microphone. Which worked when tested. I then switched the audio input
back from iPhone Microphone back to the default Automatic setting. So far, no
issues.

Hope this helps others with this issue.

 Cheers
Debbie
