Given the cost of RAM these days I would not spend an extra $300 Canadian to go
from 256 GB to 512 Gb which is the price difference for that jump with an
iPhone 18 Pro.

Fortunately, 256GB is the smallest you can get these days.

I usually get 512GB, and with lazy data management, have about 200GB free.
Everyone has different use cases/needs though so buy what you need.

Hi all!
I got a 16 pro terribite because as IOS gets more features, it also grows
larger and larger on it’s own, not counting all of the other apps, books,
movies, videos, pictures and whatever else I’d put on my iphone. A terribite
allows you plenty of storage space to last a while. I don’t recomend anything
lower than 100 gigs at the lowest for anyone because 64 is simply too small
these days. Larger is actually better in this case.

Someone had asked about how much the OS uses; running the iOS 27 release
candidate on my iPhone 16 Pro, I am seeing approx. 23GB used by the OS.

One can assume that will fluctuate and there is usually another 12-15GB used by
Siri. So, expect you will have somewhere around 215-220GB of usable space on
the base 256GB models.
