Hello Davy and All, Yes, I can certainly confirm this, as I've had this exact same problem, when I'm trying to talk on the phone, and Voiceover starts chatting away! Voiceover is I think reading what is on the screen, and I don't have any idea why this is happening. I've had this problem for at least three years or longer, but it usually happens right after an update, and it usually will last for about a few weeks, and suddenly Voiceover stops chatting, and wow, what a relief! As far as why it is happening, is the real question, but I don't have any answer, so what I do to try and stop the chatter, ask the person who I am talking to, to hold on, and I touch somewhere on the screen, and that usually does the trick! I've also had times where I had to just remove my phone away from my ear, and I then can lightly shake the phone, and that also can stop the chatter. I find it so annoying hearing two different voices, especially when I am on a important call! I also had this same problem even when I had an iPhone XR, and I am currently using an iPhone 16 pro iOS 26.7, and still the same problem! I wish your friend lots of luck.
