Are Kindle books in a format the iPhone can read without the Kindle app?

Hi Heather,
You need to set up an account on the b&n website. Then you either acquire free nook books or purchase them using your pc or Mac and the v&n site with your account that you just set up. Once you have books available, you sign in to the Nook app using the username and password you used when you registered on the b&n website. Then you set the filter in the Nook app to all items or just books, if you didn't get any magazines, and you'll see all your available titles appear. Double tapping a title causes it to download. Once you're done, you can set that filter to downloaded items only. And to answer your other question, No, the Kindle app is definitely 100% not usable, and you can get your e-books with either the Nook or the iBooks apps for reading on the ios device.
