Creating a contact list to use with messages or mail in the Contacts app on
your iPhone

Pam Koffey mentioned doing this on a different email list, which was a new
discovery for me, so here are the steps I use.

Note, Double tap refers to using one finger to double tap when
using VoiceOver. If not using Voiceover, a single tap will do.

Open the Contacts app.

Hit the back button until it becomes an edit button. You do not need to edit
anything just yet.

Now flick right to the "Add List" Button and double tap.

You will be in a List Name edit field, enter the name you want, and there will
be a done button in the lower right corner near the delete button, only it will
not say button…

Now, you have a list with that name in the list of contact accounts/lists you
have such as iCloud, Outlook, All Contacts, etc.

Double tap on your new list.

Flick right until you land on "Add contact," and double tap.

Now, you will be in a list of contacts, go through and double tap on those you
want. They will say "selected," and when you are done there is a "done" button
in the upper right corner, double tap.

Now you will be back in the list you just created with all the names, hit the
back button and now your list will be on the screen and will say how many
people are on it.

The cool thing I just discovered is that without opening the list, flick up or
down through the options to see what you can do from here.

I flicked down and found these options:

Activate, default

Get Mail

Message

Trash

Edit

Email all

Message all

Export

Rename

Delete

If you flicked up you would have those options in reverse.

According to Siri, these are the limits of how many emails you can send at one
time.

iCloud email account: up to 500 emails in one group.

Outlook, free account:, is 100.

Microsoft 365 subscribers: 500.

Gmail: 100.

Number of text messages varies. I believe 10 for SMS where not everyone has
Apple iMessage. 32 if everyone has Apple iMessage.

Check the above with your carrier/ISP to be sure.
