I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I read somewhere that some people fail to understand or realize that Apple has to charge California sales tax on to purchases. So, if you buy a track for $0.99, there will still be tax included when you actually get the receipt. Again, I am not sure if this is what she was talking about, but it just struck my memory.
