Since Spotify is not available in Canada I haven't used it, but you can sign up on the website first and you don't have to use a Facebook account. If you are looking for a paid music service you could also give Rdio a try. They boast 18,000,000 songs and I subscribed for a few months and the albums I looked for were all there. You can download to your iPhone if you want to listen without an internet connection, but I assume that if you quit paying you won't have access to these songs any more since otherwise you could just subscribe for a month or 2 and download thousands of songs. The Rdio app seems pretty is accessible. I haven't tested it completely since mostly I have used it via my Sonos system, but I am just now listening to Barry Manilow, an album called "The Complete Collection". If you search for an artist you can listen to the various albums or there always is a Station at the top which would play music that is similar to that artist. One thing I did notice is that in the app sometimes you can't swipe left or right and have to drag your finger around the screen to go to stuff, but it's not always the case so I am not sure wy this is.
