I would strongly advise against upgrading to iTunes 11 it's a total lemon. Worst thing Apple have ever done. No coverflow, no viewable album art, no DJ function, searching for anything in your own library has become a major trauma. I did upgrade and spent a couple of weeks trying to get used to it but gave up and reverted back to 10.7 (which is not easy) as many other people have been doing. I would advise sticking to 10.7 until Apple come to their senses.
