I tried that, but still, it's like it's not refreshing or something because
then it just sohws a few and goes back to when I last checked it.

What I do is to tap the button top; left, flick down to the button just
after newsfeed, tap most recent and it enters the most current statuses.
You can then just keep flicking down to read as far back as you want. Hope
