When you sign up with Google voice, you get a phone number. People can call this number or send it text messages. you can use the Google Voice app on your iPhone to read these text messages or send text messages from this number.
When someone calls your Google Voice number, you can have it ring several numbers, such as your home number, your office number and your mobile number. You can answer the call from any of these phones. You can also go into the Google Voice app and place a call from this number. You can check your voice mail with a phone, web site or the Google Voice app. Google voice also performs speech recognition on the message, so you can just read the text of the message someone left you.
