How do I re-send a gift certificate on my iPhone 4? I have heard it can
be done but so far I haven't investigated this possibility.

Kevin that is terrific. I bought 3 certificates the other dayon the
iphone, sent to the people who would receive them, and one never showed
up. I havehad thishappen in the past. Ihad in the past had them sent
to me and no other address put on them. This time I did it again,
losing the original money but not that much, and had the missing one
sent to me. it came in a matter of minutes, ad knew that if the person
didn't get it I could just send it again. Just an aditional tip here.

Hi there.
I've been following the thread about using the iPhone to get and redeem
cards and certificates. Most folks were steering the conversation to the
iPhone/iPod/iPad. I had some funds come along this month that I
wanted to
set aside for iTunes, and since I use it for my downloading of things I
decided to figure out how to buy and redeem gift certificates. It's very
easy to do. This is with the latest iTunes, so there's no problem there.
First, make sure you have the side bar visible. You can find this in the
View menu.
Next, arrow down to the iTunes store. Playlist.
On my system I'm directed to the browser area of the screen. You
don't want
to be there yet. Hit F6 to get back to the tree view that has the iTunes
store playlist.
Now hit TAB. If you have any credit in your account it will show up
here.
TAB once beyond this read only box and you'll be on a button called
iTunes
Store Home button. Press ENTER on it.
You'll be placed into the browser window, and mine has over 600 links.
Don't let this discourage you. Just do a search on the page for account.
You can purchase what you need here by going down the list with the arrow
keys until you find "Buy ITunes gifts." Hit ENTER on that, and follow
the
prompts. You can buy multiple certificates this way.
You'll also notice there's a redeem a certificate in this area. If
you've
purchased a certificate and want to redeem it for yourself, here's a real
easy way to do it.
Make sure you're in the iTunes Store Playlist option, then TAB until you
find your user name.
Now hit the application key on your computer. You'll get a menu where
you
can redeem the account. Just follow the easy steps on the browser
page and
it's all done.
I should mention that this is being done on a Windows 7 64 bit home
premium
PC, so MAC computers will have a slightly different way to do this.
I thought this would be useful for folks. I'm quite happy it's so
straightforward to purchase and redeem iTunes cards. One word of
warning,
and I think this goes for both MAC and PC. You may not want to use the
email certificate. I tried this once, and never got an email of the
certificate. I did get an email acknowledging that I did purchase
certificates, but I never got them. I had to call Apple and find out
how to
look those up. Trust me, you don't want to do this unless absolutely
necessary. It can be done, but it's quite confusing, at least it was for
me.
Hope this is useful for some of you out there.
I'm gonna go to bed now.
GO CATS and GO BENGALS!
