Hi Brent. You do have to have an active receiver to get the online
service, or up here in Canada you do at least. Apparently Sirius XM
according to Pattie hasn't changed their policies in the States so
that's dumb that Sirius Canada changed their policies. Although I'm not
complaining because I get to hear a lot of NBA games which is why I
purchased it in the first place.
