Hi Irene,

As Ming already pointed out, I would not recommend setting up a new Skype Id
because then you lose all your Contacts, if you use your existing Skype Id
you can add a new contact on the iPhone and it should show up also when you
log in on the computer and vice versa. When you open Skype on your iPhone
for the first time it will also ask you if you give permission for Skype to
access your Contacts. I would recommend that because that way if you ever
use Skype to make phone calls, you can access all the phone numbers from
your contact list.

Regards,
Sieghard

I am a new subscriber, so, please excuse me if I am asking something which
has previously been answered.

I have added the Skype app to my IPod and logged in under the details used
on my desktop. Is this advisable, or should I have used a new name and
password?

Irene
