Hello,

You can get the NRSV from iBooks. I think it costs $7.99. You can open
books easily, but I don't thin It's that easy to search for specific
verses. I think that the NRSV as a newer translation is still under
copyright protection. That's why most free sites have the King James and
other older versions of the Bible. I, too, wish there were tools to allow
blind readers to easily access specific passages and compare translations,
to tell exactly where verses begin and end but also to be able to read
without the interruption of verse numbers once we find a particular
passage. This is something I wish Bookshare or learning Ally would take
up.

Best,
Jana

Subject: Re: accessible bible for the IPhone

I'd like to find the NRSV in an accessible version that will let me look
up specific citations. The Bible Gateway has that on line, but the app
doesn't seem to have been updated with this particular Bible translation
yet.
