Hi Dan, First of all, you cannot correct spelling errors after you are done with your typing. As you are typing, it will say something like. "aple misspelled. Notice I spelled apple with only one L. Now if you hear that, you delete the space, then you can flick left or right to find your spelling word if it is listed. I hope I didn't confuse the heck out of you. AppleVis did a great podcast on spell check function. I suggest you give it a listen.
