You can use the face recognition feature in iPhone. You have to set the view to grid. Here's how.

Double tap camera, options, and grid. turn HDR off if it isn't already. You need to be in a room where there is plenty of light. I just took my own picture. Hold your iPhone so the screen is facing away from you. Let the camera focus with the camera about 2 feet away. The camera will focus and you'll then hear face centered, or face lower right corner. Move the camera to get it to say face centered. The top button on the right side of the iPhone will take the picture. If you hear small face, your to far away from the camera. Finally, you make very small movements and wait until the iPhone says something. It's time consuming but it works. My sighted wife said actually the 4 pictures I took of myself weren't bad and 3 of them were as good as any sighted person could of done.

Have fun. Oh and I'm using an iPhone 4.

I use the regular camera app on my iPhone 4S, I use the volume up button on the phone to take my pictures, and if you're wearing Apple year buds you can use the play button to take a picture.

Hi all. One thing I haven't been able to accomplish is taking a picture using the camera. This is whether I'm using one of the apps like guided photo pro or that new app that is currently being talked about on applevis. I go in to the camera and then tap on take picture. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong even in any of the other apps that are camera based can't seem to make them work. Any tips to make sure settings are correct or that I'm doing things correctly would be appreciated.
