Hi Philipa. In addition to Sieghard's suggestions, what I normally do
when I encounter such an app that is inaccessible, I contact the
developers and say that I'm blind and that I use Voiceover on my I
Device. I also say that if they implement accessibility in their
products, more and more blind users would buy your product. For
example, I use an app from Sparkling Apps that basically does
everything that Siri does. It's called Voice Answer and it's $2.99.
When you open the app, you'll notice right away that there's an
unlabelled button you double tap to speak to it. I'm currently in
contact with them to remedy this problem and they're very cooperative
to fixing this problem. I told them that if they fixed it, more blind
users like myself that don't have a 4S or 5 would use it. However I
need more people like me to try the app and write to them at
[email protected] to speed up the process. I will be demoing it
in a podcast this Saturday called The Quick Learning Techy Show if
anyone wants more info about it.
