Eric, I disagree with the other responders, although i can no longer see to validate this answer, when I could see, night mode in GPS products did the following:
In day mode the background would usually be a bright colour, say white, with streets being black, green and other colours indicating type of road. In night mode the actual background colour would change to black, and the roads to would to make them stand out on a black background. One would assume that Feedla Pro does something similar.
