I'm running Win8 with ITunes 11. It works and I can install apps to my iPod
Touch, but I suggest you give the installation of Win8 some serious thought.
Jaws 14 has some pretty serious bugs, but don't take my word for it as it
was the multiple Freedom Scientific tech support reps who I spoke with that
conveyed current difficulties with Jaws and Win8 since there are no mirror
drivers and such and scripting problems to be worked out. I've been using
Win8 for about a month now, and it has been nothing but a struggle. Jaws
simply does not work reliably enough to use as your only means of accessing
Win8. If you don't demand much of your computer than you'll probably get by,
but if you're a power user you will experience nothing but frustration.
If you can stick with Windows 7 this is the best option as it is a joy to
use and very stable. I say this because going from Win8 to Windows 7 is
night and day in terms of the user experience. I'm running both operating
systems on a somewhat high end machine using a solid state drive, and I only
convey this so you know the hardware used to test both operating systems is
controlled. Windows 7 will be the Windows XP of the future and Win8 is the
Vista of today.
