If you have ringtones in M4R format it's probably easiest to put them in the
"Automatically Add to iTunes" folder. This is in the iTunes Media folder and
anything that is in there will be automatically moved to the correct folder
and also added to your library the next time you open iTunes. After that all
you have to do is make sure you either check "Sync all Ringtones" or, if you
have "Sync selected ringtones" selected, make sure you check the tones  you
want and then sync your iPhone with itunes.

OK, I've converted several MP4 ring tone files on my PC into M4R for my
