Well, assuming we're talking about the same list, things did change in that it changed list providers recently. I didn't join until they changed list providers myself, but I heard not everyone made the transition, so maybe this explains why the traffic is so much lower.
I wasn't on the list six months ago, but I find it hard to believe that t was ever a high traffic list with a lot of chatting on it. The moderator is quite strict, much more so than on this list. I don’t' mind that myself, even though I've had my hand slapped once, since I prefer strictly moderated list. Whatever the reason, it's got much less traffic on it than this list. The only downside is that some people cross post to both lists. I don't mind this when things are being announced, but I find it a bit annoying when you see the same question and the same set of answers on both lists.
