I have an Ipad 3 32G running the latest IOS for Ipad. I know GPS is nonexistent for this unit, and I agree it would probably be impractical, but since apps that are pedometers or odometers, measuring distance traveled irrespective of global position, might there be such a thing for my Ipad 3? I could set it, lock the screen, stow the Pad in my backpack and then just walk, and when I unlocked the screen, I'd have a distance traveled, say, 3.5 miles or 1.3 KM?
