Hello Neal,

I haven't tried this app since they updated it to version 2, and I
haven't heard any podcast demos of it. A little fiddling gave me an
answer to your question of how to change the action from slide to
record though: double tap the "Settings" tab (4 of 5) at the bottom of
the screen, then flick to the second listed item, "Transport", and
double tap. On the "Transport" screen, under the first heading of
"Record Button", flick to the switch for the first item, "Button
Controls", and double tap to toggle this to set the switch to "off".
When you make this change, some of the other options under this
heading, like "slide to stop", will disappear, and the only other
option for this heading will be "Hold to record", which you probably
want to set to "off" unless you want to hold down the record button
for the entire length of your recording session.

Now you can start a recording by double tapping the record button, and
stop it by flicking right and double tapping, but you may get
VoieOver's comments unless you mute speech before tapping. I don't
know whether the current version of the app is accessible with
VoiceOver, though. Version 1 of this app was set up differently.
Sorry I can't tell you more.

HTH.

Esther
