Hi Debbie,
Just to add to Jenny's advice, there maybe times when you find the keypad is not there. In this case you will have to look for the "keypad" button and double tapping on this will show the keypad. Depending on your phone, I suggest you deliverately try using the keypad when the phone is away from your ear meaning on speakerphone. Unfortunately, my 4S, for example, is very hard to use this way because one can hardly hear Voiceover over the call volume. Theoretically, if you add Volume to the rotor, you should be able to turn the rotor to volume while you are on a call and flick up to turn up Voiceover volume relative to the call and unless you disabled the volume keys for that purpose, use the volume down key to turn down call volume should it turn out to be too loud. I used to be able to do this perfectly and balance out call and Voiceover volume in iOS 5, but ever since iOS 6 this is not working for me any more. It is one of the most annoying problems I have in addition to Voiceover always reading out the call duration every 20 seconds and according to Apple support I am one of the few people affected by this. And, by the way, no thanks needed for this, let's keep list traffic along with Raul's blood pressure down *smile*. That should really come in handy! I really love this list even though there is so much traffic. No matter what you ask, there is always someone who knows the answer! If you first touch that button then answer it with a one-finger double tap, the keypad will come up when you take your phone away from your ear. Hope this helps, Jenn Sent from my iPhone On Mar 3, 2013, at 1:21 PM, Debbie Downey <[email protected]> wrote: HI everyone, I was wondering; if you answer a call and it's a robo call and you are asked to press 1 to confirm a doctor's appointment or if its a survey and you need to press a # to rate your customer experience etc, is there a way to bring up the keypad in order to do this? Another example is; I live in a gated community and I haven't given the office my cell phone # to associate with my gate code for this reason. When someone comes to visit me, they enter a code from the call box which then calls my home #; I answer the phone and then hit a # on my telephone keypad which then releases the gate. Is there a way to do this on the IPhone? Thanks! Debbie -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
