No and no, the Mini don't do anything the iPhone can't do, and for sure the Mini can't do stuff a Mac can do. But I and a few of us still have a Mini and like it for what it does do. The Mini does somethings different since it has the bigger screen, but you can still do it in your favourite armchair rather than compelled to do it at a desk.
As ever, it's whether you feel the spending is justified in the extra you get from the new device.
