I just wanted to add a couple things here. You can select, copy, and paste text from Safari for sure. Here, you make sure your roter is on characters, words, or lines depending on what you want to select. Then put focus on the text you want selected. Here is the hard part. You doulbe tap and hold until you hear the tri tone. Now you have to use the pinch gesture to select this text. Pinching apart selects, and pinching together unselects text.
