The Aftershokz bone conducting earphones might be an alternative that go behind the ear and don't block out other sounds. If there is another reason you woldn't want a device like that, I'm sure wired ones exist, I know the Trekker Breeze likely comes with one, but where they get it from, I'm not sure.
