I have a few questions, and some people might think i'm nuts, but please try to follow my point! I'm looking for an app that tells me what's near me in a category such as hotels, restaurants, Etc. I'm looking for an impartial app, like around me used to be. Please note: around me is no longer this good! I'll base it on the old around me, hopefully you guys know of a similar app. A year ago, if I wanted to know what hotels were close to me, I used to use the around me app. It was completely impartial to hotels.com, travelocity, Kyak, Etc. It just gave me what was close, nothing else! i got the hotels around me, based solely on distance, and nothing else! The new around me no loger does this and deliberately skips hotels i know darn well are close, because its partnered with hotels.com now. How about restaurants? I know of a good restaurant called "Clean street marina.' (not the actual name, since i don't wanna give away right where i live!) Its a good fish/seafood place, some of the fish came right from my local lake! What if I'm in dallas and want to find a locally owned truly texas barbecue place (not a chain?) What about a small locally owned motel/hotel that's distinctly dallas? Is there new apps that are good at that stuff? Please reply. If you guys just can't follow my point I'll put it a different way...the sighted person who looks at the signs of businesses around him/her, seeing what the area is like. That's exactly what i'm looking for. Please help!
