It is worth mentioning that if you turn "flash" on, when using Text
Grabber, especially, in conjunction with the StandScan Pro, you can almost use
it without the lights provided with the box. Obviously, the 12 volts obtainable
with the mains adaptor or the larger battery power supplier, will give the very
best results, but, if one finds oneself unable to avail of that lighting, it is
worth using the flash facility of the Text Grabber App. Beware, when you turn
this on, the flash light stays on until you have finished scanning, so, if you
left the app running without scanning, you would seriously deplete your battery
and, possibly, shorten your flash light life. The button to toggle the flash
on/off is found at the top of the scanning screen, just before settings.
