Hi there. Just to clarify, I can see where book discussions can be seen
as off topic. Personally I think they fall into that grey area which
doesn't have a hard definition. What I mean by this statement is that
discussions of books themselves are not on topic. Meaning that if we
want to discuss the pros and cons of the final Robert Jordan book, A
Memory of Light, which closes off the Wheel of Time series, then that
would definitely be off topic. However if you want to pass along some
information on purchasing discounted books because we may read them from
our iThingies with apps like Nook, iBooks, ETC, then I feel it's fair
game on the list. As long as we can all remember that this isn't a book
discussion list, then things related to apps we use on those iThingies
will be no problem.
So, in short, both your message and Esther's messages are perfectly
alright on list.
