Are you talking about the Speedtest.net app? There are many 'speedtest'
apps in the app store.
Thx -Steve

Subject: Re: Accessible SpeedTest app

Hi Sieghard,

Thanks for the update on Speedtest. I'll just add that the original
version 1 of this app was accessible with VoiceOver. Then, when Ookla
redesigned the app in late 2010, all the version 2 releases were not
accessible with VoiceOver. So it's very heartening to find that
version 3 release works again.

A few comments: when the Speedtest.net app starts up, it does a search
for the nearest server to your location, so there may be a short
initial period before the screen updates and the "Begin Test" button
shows up in the middle of the screen for access with VoiceOver the
first time that you run it from a new location. The main Speedtest
screen updates dynamically while the ping, download, and upload tests
are being run, so wait 20 or so seconds before trying to do a two
finger flick up to read the screen results and/or flick through.
Alternatively, access the "results" tab (2nd of 4 at the bottom of the
screen) for a listed history of your test results. There is an
unlabeled button that is the first element of the "results" screen. It
gives you the option to delete all results or email all results.
Alternatively, if the test has finished running, on the main Speedtest
page you can flick to a "share" button that allows you to email,
tweet, text, or copy those test results.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther,

about compatibility, but I just had a look and I am happy to report that the

the case before. The app is free and for 99 Cents in-app purchase you can
remove the ads forever. If you search for “SpeedTest” without space it
should be the first app in the list and it’s listed as “SpeedTest.net Mobile
SpeedTest” and the developer is “Ookla”. Here is the link:
