You can create play lists from your iPhone. You can also edit a play list from your iPhone.
Open music,then the second tab from the left on the bottom row is play lists. Double tap that. Now just under the status indicators is the add play list button. Double tap that. That opens up a text box where it wants you to give your new play list a name. Type in a name for example, my favorites. Then double tap the done button. Now look for the add button and double tap that. Now you can start adding hole albums or separate songs to the play list. Continue adding to the play list until you've got it the way you want it and double tap the done button. To add or delete songs from the list just double tap the edit button. Double tap the album or songs you no longer want in the list and then double tap the delete button. If I remember right, it's near the top right corner.
