I'm not sure I'm going to be of much help. I tried doing this with Orca and Firefox, and I couldn't get into the right tab. Using Chrome and ChromeVox, I was able to do it however. I went to voice.google.com, which should be the same page you got to. There's a settings pull down right above your list of calls. The first option here is "these Settings". If you can click on that, a series of tabs will show up a few lines below that pull down. The third tab over is Call and the option you want in the call tab is call screening. Turn this off, and you'll be good to go. Like I said, I'm not sure how to get there with your Windows browsers and screen readers, although Chrome and ChromeVox will work in Windows, but that's probably overkill for this one task. Maybe another Windows user can help out here.

Yes, you can turn this off in your Google Voice settings on the web.
Ask if you have trouble doing this.

Hello all.

I have google voice, a google voice number with the Mobi and the ability
to answer google voice calls on my I phone that come in to that number
as well.

It's easy to answer the google voice number on my cordless phone.
However, for some reason, I have to hear the identity of the caller on
the I Phone and then press 1 to choose to ansewr the pohne. Is there any
way that anyone knows to turn that feature off so I can just answer the
google voice call on my I Phone if I choose the same way I answer any
call on the I Phone? If this is so convoluted it makes no sense I
apologize! <smile>
